Help me give my students play material and the sensory input they need.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach students that are in kindergarten and first grade in a special education classroom. The students have been diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities. My classroom serves children with social and communicative disabilities; including Asperger’s Disorder, high-functioning Autism, and nonverbal learning disabilities.
Research tells us that all students learn differently.
This is true for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other social and/or communication delays. The consideration of this fact is taken into place when developing each students curriculum. We are committed to providing every student with a program that carefully meets the needs of each individual student.
My students will utilize the Abilitations Inflatable SensaRock with Balls for sensory breaks. This will help my student help regulate themselves and utilize their energy in a functional manner.
The Best-Buy Play Food Assortment will be used to help children overcome challenges they personally have through play.
Many students on the spectrum have many sensitivities. These play materials will help them overcome the sensitivites.
The student's in my classroom will be overjoyed with our new sensarock and pretend play toys. They love getting new items in the classroom, especially when it could really benefit them. This will not only help these students academically, but emotionally, socially, and behaviorally as well.
