Help me give my students a thank you gift for joining Play Group. The students have made high attendance for after school enrichment program. I am thankful for their commitment and participation.
Play Group has been recognized for the successful attendance of 38 students. More than half of the students come to Play Group each day. The students are offered outdoor play using the playground and sports equipment. The students return inside the classroom to play with toys set up for preschool. Then the students sit together as a group and participate in discussion activities.
My goal for my project is to make a gift bag for each of my students who participated in Play Group.
I am proud of the student's dedication this year for learning how to play, share, socialize, and join in on group activities. My students made friends and experienced more time playing than going home and watching T.V. or games. I have received feedback from parents about how tired the students are when they get home and go directly to bed. I love how we have successfully lessened screen time this year here at Pinon Elementary School.
Lastly, I have gotten to know my students by having 15 minutes of group discussion. We all share happy and sad news. The students love to play charades, ice-breaker, and we even read books on some days. The rules are covered every time we forget our outdoor and indoor rules. The students bring concerns to our group talk and we all share a solution to better our Play Group. I am most proud of all my students who greet me in the hallways and ask if we are having Play Group today. I love to say "Yes, we are", so I can see the joy and excitement in their eyes. I am truly thankful for your support in bringing gifts to students who have decided to play and learn.
