My Students

I always seem to get the sweetest class ever! I have 17 first graders.

We are an inclusion classroom where special education students learn alongside their general education peers.

We are currently in a hybrid model of in-person learning. Some students remain 100% virtual, while others attend two days of school in-person and two days virtually. We are a Title I school, which means that the majority of the students come from low-income households. Our school receives free breakfast, lunch, and a snack daily.

We have so much fun in my class and the kids love to learn! Please help me to teach them in fun and engaging ways.

My Project

My students spend at least three days a week engaged in virtual learning. Older kids may be fine with this as they are independent. They are able to complete and submit assignments on their own. Smaller kids are very dependent and are struggling virtually. I need fun and engaging materials to put in the homes of my first graders.

Kids love to Play-Doh!

We are requesting Play-Doh and Play-Doh letter stamps so that students can spell words out of dough. This will be an exciting alternative to paper and pencil spelling.
