Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will make a meaningful difference in my kindergarten classroom by providing students with fresh, engaging learning centers that spark curiosity and motivation as we begin the new year. The addition of paint dabbers for the art center, hands-on materials for the reading center, materials for the math center, and building tools for the stem center will give students purposeful opportunities to explore learning through play. These centers will help reinforce essential kindergarten skills such as early literacy, number sense, fine motor development, and problem-solving in a way that feels exciting and accessible for young learners.

By refreshing our classroom centers, students will feel energized and eager to participate, which is especially important after returning from a break or starting a new semester.

New materials encourage creativity, independence, and collaboration while allowing students to practice skills at their own pace. These engaging centers will support a positive learning environment where students feel confident taking risks, sharing ideas, and developing a love for learning. Ultimately, this project will help set a strong foundation for academic growth and enthusiasm as we move into the new year.
