This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's my first year working in the schools as an SLP. I have a lot of special education students who need more developmentally appropriate preschool objects. Cause and effect toys allow children to learn that their actions can cause something to happen. With these materials, we can target a variety of vocabulary terms and core words that will assist these children in communicating in their everyday lives. My school district's minority enrollment is 70%. Also, 43.1% of students are economically disadvantaged. I want to allow these children to be expose to all types of books and toys that are essential for learning and development.
