My students are big-hearted and funny dreamers, and they are likely the most creative minds you will ever meet. All of the students qualify for free lunch; we are a Title I school. They are a happy group of third graders who love school and love to learn.
My students' economic situations are very dire; we are located on an Indian Reservation, the students try their hardest even when the odds are all stacked up against them.
They are a group of kids who won't give up and always come with a smile on their faces. They try to do all they can with the very little that they have. It is so rewarding to teach, whether I am helping a gifted student learn or helping a student who is many grades behind or anything in between. I feel like I have the best job ever!
My students love to draw and design. I would love to have my students learn all about the area of design. Through the use of the plates, my students can learn all the ins and outs of how design works. Not only that, but they will learn a new skill.
The plates will help bring what they have learned in 3rd grade to life.
I want them to remember that even though it was a tough year. We were able to accomplish really hard things. I want them to remember that they can do hard things every time they look at their plate.
