My Project

My first graders have only a vague sense of what climate and environment mean. They have studied deserts, mountains and other forms of topography, but do not understand the correlation between land forms and our environment. The climate and the environment are big topics for little minds.

Books about plants and LEGOS to build flowers are a hands-on way to introduce these topics to the younger students.

The requested books foster a love of plants and demonstrate how plant-life is integral to our climate and to the environment.

These lessons become lessons for life!
