Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Starting with the 24-25 school year, our 6th grade will increase from one dual language class to two! This project will set our new section up for success by providing a Spanish-language classroom library.

A bilingual classroom library will give students more options for independent reading.

According to the NCTE, "Research supports that independent reading has the most significant impact on student success in reading.” These books will be essential for students to participate in our monthly reading challenges using the Beanstack platform. Additionally, access to a classroom library will give our students a wider variety of options for reading material.
