My students are inquiring and energetic young women and men. They are reflective thinkers who enjoy working together on group projects. They come to class with lots of prior knowledge and experience with the world and on many of the topics we learn about in Geography.
My students also like working with a lot of engaging, hands-on materials, watching videos, and having discussions.
My 9th graders are very caring individuals and they have enjoyed doing community service style projects in our class. They are also very adept at using technology, like laptops and desktop computers, and they like to work on projects using websites and apps.
My Project
The 9th grade students at EHS need academic planners in order to keep themselves organized for the school year before them. As a 9th Grade Team, we are collectively working on organizational skills with our 9th grade students as they enter high school.
It’s very important for 9th graders to learn and master organizational skills in order to be successful in the rest of their high school career.
Staying organized helps our students keep on top of their assignments and assessments for all their classes, allowing them to feel more successful, pass their classes, and stay on track for graduation.
