This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This Donors Choose Project was created to provide my students with planes, trains and automobiles to use during social and emotional lessons in the school counseling office. Toys allow for exploration of real life experiences. They facilitate contact with the child by gaining the child's interest and attention. They provide the opportunity for development of self-control.

We will use these toys to help students process grief, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and many other concerns.

These toys help distract students when they are trying to process difficult emotions and feelings. We use toys to start conversations and role play. Toys are a very useful tool in my school counseling office.
