Help me give my students some new vehicles to add to our block center. Recently, several of my students are very interested and engaged in block play—particularly building roads and towns.
My students range from 3-5 years old and are able to qualify for our preschool by either having a developmental delay or being low income. This program gives children from all cultures, areas, abilities and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. My energetic preschoolers enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore. They love being exposed to so many different experiences and opportunities and gleam with pride and excitement at learning new skills. They are an amazing group of kids!
My Project
In our preschool classroom, blocks is a very popular center. Students love building new creations and using their imagination to come up with new structures. Recently we have learned about community helpers and the students love designing their neighborhoods. These vehicles would add so much by helping them have community vehicles and also construction equipment. So many of my students love items with wheels or things that go and this would add so much to our block area. Blocks is a wonderful way to teach math, engineering, geometry, etc. and these vehicles would take their play to a whole new level.
