With your kindness and generosity, you have definitely helped my students year go by smoothly. I wish you could have seen their faces when all of the snacks began to be delivered to my room. One thing I have learned as a new teacher is that food is a great motivator. \r\n There is a new tradition in my classroom thanks to you. Tasteful Tuesdays occur twice a month during our science block. We experiment by trying new snacks and sitting with new friends. Food is always a great relationship builder with those around you. My students look forward to Tasteful Tuesdays so very much. I hope it is one of those things about 4th grade that they will never forget. \r\n My students also love the benefit of being able to grab a snack in case they missed breakfast or if they just need it. They know that my room is a place where they are able to get what they need. The students happiness shines with snacks and therefore their learning is more engaged. \r\n The jump ropes you also provided is a huge hit in the 4th grade. The students rush to go get them every day and love to have contests on who can go longer. My goal of students building relationships inside the classroom and outside the classroom have worked really well. \r\n As we enter into the last portion of the school year, my goal now is to continue to engage them in their learning. School isn't quite as cool to them as their phones or technology. But I am hoping to find more creative ways to engage them each and every day. Thank you for helping out a new teacher who is navigating all of these students hearts and minds. My year would not have been as successful without your help. My students always talk about our mysterious donor and I know they appreciate your kindness a lot. Your generosity provided us with paper towels, 3 oz plastic cups, and Softsoap hand soap—items that might seem simple, but make an enormous difference in our daily routines and learning activities.\r\n\r\nHow we're using the new resources:\r\nThese materials have helped us create smoother, cleaner, and more organized learning centers. The paper towels are already being used for art clean-up, science exploration, and quick messes during snack time. The small plastic cups have become perfect tools for water play, color mixing activities, and portioning paint for tiny hands. The Softsoap has helped us reinforce handwashing routines—something so important in a preschool setting. One of our favorite recent moments was during a paint-mixing activity where students used the cups to combine colors and excitedly announced, \"Look! I made purple!\"\r\n\r\nHow students reacted when the supplies arrived:\r\nYou would have thought we received a box full of toys! The children were excited to open the packages and immediately wanted to explore how we could use the new cups for activities and play. When they saw the giant bottle of soap, several of them shouted, \"More bubbles!\" Handwashing has never been so fun or so effective.\r\n\r\nWhat's next for our classroom:\r\nWe'll be using these supplies in upcoming sensory centers, painting projects, and everyday routines that teach independence and responsibility. The cups will also be used for our next science unit where students will experiment with sinking, floating, and measuring water. These simple materials help our classroom run smoothly and make hands-on learning possible every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our young learners and helping create a clean, safe, and creative environment. Our new play cash registers and guest receipt pads have become the highlight of our dramatic-play center.\r\n\r\nHow we're using the new resources:\r\nWe introduced the materials during our \"Classroom Store\" activity. The children took turns being cashiers and customers, \"buying\" pretend groceries, blocks, and art supplies. They practiced early math skills like counting play coins, pressing number buttons, and matching numbers on the receipts. We also used the guest receipt pads to help the children practice writing their names, drawing simple items, and pretending to sign their purchases—building early writing and fine-motor skills.\r\n\r\nTheir first reactions:\r\nThe moment I placed the cash registers on the table, the children cheered. Several immediately lined up saying, \"I want to buy something!\" and \"Can I be the cashier?\" Their excitement filled the room, and within minutes they were exploring every button and pretending to scan items. It was a pure, joyful moment of discovery.\r\n\r\nWhat's next:\r\nWe'll continue growing our \"Classroom Store\" by adding themed play areas—like a bakery, a fruit stand, and a café. The children will practice new vocabulary, work together to take turns, and build confidence as they explore pretend play with real-world tools. These resources will support our math, language, and social-emotional learning all year long.\r\n\r\nThank you for making our classroom such a magical place to learn and play.
