This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Transitioning into sixth grade represents a major step in my predominantly multilingual, underprivileged, deprived students' academic journey. Beginning with multiple classes, different teachers, and a noticeable increase in homework assignments. Without a reliable way to keep track of these new responsibilities, it is easy for assignments and upcoming test dates to slip through the cracks. By giving my students the tools they need, such as a student planner, I provide them with a single, reliable central hub where they can record daily tasks, write down project due dates, and map out academic schedules effectively.

Developing the habit of using a planner in sixth grade builds essential life skills that extend far beyond middle school.

Learning to track your goals, plan ahead, and take personal responsibility for your learning fosters independence and self-discipline. By establishing this organizational routine early on, you create a solid foundation for academic success that will support you throughout middle school, high school, college, and your future career.
