Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Pre-K students are just beginning their journeys to success and they are loving it! They are so excited to continue learning about their world and using all the resources they can in order to be productive members of their communities.
Pre-Kindergarten is a very crucial stage for the social, emotional, and academic development of each little mind.
Everyday my students and I are working diligently to establish a strong foundation for their future learning. Although they are still very young, they are very curious and have hopes and dreams.
My Project
The variety of materials my students need will help them develop their skills in all subjects. Art supplies and creative tools are necessary in every PK classroom because with simple materials students are able to develop their motor skills, spatial awareness, number sense, and consequently build a foundation to be life-long readers and writers.
Since writing is integrated into every aspect of life the writing journals and supplies will help foster the importance of writing not only in our classroom but in our society where my students hope to be productive citizens.
Math manipulatives are also important because they will help my students to learn concepts through appropriate hands-on experiences.
