Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from an urban area with diverse backgrounds, so they are facing the challenge of learning English as well as maintaining their home language. This can be frustrating for anyone, so it is highly important that they are afforded a classroom environment that promotes their learning and well being.
They are enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated learners.
I wish for each one of my students to have the opportunities that they so rightfully deserve in an environment that provides ample and worthwhile learning experiences.
My Project
The HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer and photo paper will be used to print memorable pictures of my students in various settings. The HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer will be placed in a carrying case when it's not being used. I want to capture pictures of them throughout the day. I will place the pictures in colorful frames throughout the classroom. I will take pictures of my students during group activities, special events, trips, and during center time. Center time is a scheduled time during the school day where they can choose from a variety of centers, such as Dramatic Play, Blocks and Art. It is during this time where they imagine that they are teachers or chefs and where they build towers, castles and skyscrapers, as well as create one of a kind masterpieces. These are just some of the moments that I want to capture.
The Early Childhood classroom is a place where children are learning, creating, investigating, analyzing, and exploring.
I want to have all of these unforgettable classroom experiences printed on photo paper and displayed for their families and peers to see and have as a forever memory. Moments like these are priceless.
