Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very fun-loving kids. They are full of smiles, laughter, and funny actions. We are a Title I school, so many come from low-income families and several are raised by one parent or grandparents.

We try to give them a sense of community, family, and being part of something bigger than their surroundings.

Many of our students go without. We try our best to provide those items to them, regardless of it being a pencil, paper, backpacks, snacks, or hygiene products.

With distant learning, it is even more difficult for our parents to provide those needs for our students. Supplies run low at home and here at school. We do our best to be able to provide everything they need but it is difficult.

My Project

With a camera, students will be able to take photos of their classes, sports games, and recess. They will learn how to take care of and operate a camera.

This camera will help our students remember their school years.

It will teach them new skills that they can carry on in their future. With this camera the students will be able to make lasting memories. They will be able to look back on these photos and remember their childhood.

Many will be able to see how far they have came since those pictures were taken. They will have forever lasting memories. Who knows maybe one will become a photographer when they are adults.
