My Students

My students are thriving young performing artists. They are exploring all aspects of performance from music literacy, character development, solo performance, and ensemble experiences. Performing arts experiences encourage collaboration.

Meeting students with 21st century, real-world learning opportunities is essential to providing relevance in a traditional performance ensemble.

I share this idea with my students often. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." ~Aristotle.

Our school is in the heart of a community that supports education and knows its value. Students are motivated and engaged. Students are eager to learn; they embrace a challenging work environment and express the desire to be the best in all endeavors.

My Project

Students will be able to continue their pursuit of music excellence by having an instrument at home. The KBX1 Keyboard Stand and Padded Piano Bench will be utilized during individual and group instruction to enhance student knowledge. Playing the piano develops and sharpens a music student's analytical, critical thinking, and literacy aptitude.

This resource will support preparation for students who desire to play and improve their abilities as a pianist.

It will also be used to support posture and form at the piano so that students are correctly seated behind the digital keyboards previously funded. As my students progress the additional material requested will aid and support student growth. The items listed will help students by providing another layer of support for the mastery of piano instruction.
