My Students

I teach a highly innovative and hands-on music class to students in grades K-5. I see my students once every 6 or 7 days. In the music classroom, students are hands-on in learning. They are finding their joy in music while building confidence and increasing 21st-century skills.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year.

My Project

Our class needs a piano that we can move around the classroom and have available for both in-person and virtual teaching. Our music class is in a trailer and because of the changing temperatures, we need a digital piano that will stay tuned appropriately. We will use this piano for programs, talent shows, classroom songs and dance, and for all virtual learning experiences that we may encounter this school year. The students love learning to play the piano and singing along with the teacher as she plays the piano.
