Help me give my students items to celebrate and learn about Pi Day, such as Expo markers, stickers, pencils, and cookies to represent finding Pi in circles.

My Project

My goal as a teacher is to make math fun, as well as, realistic; for students to see math in everyday situations. What better way to apply that than on Pi Day in March? I will use the stickers, erasers, and pencils as incentives throughout the day as students work on problems using pi on circles. I will read the Pi book to them so they understand what exactly is Pi. I will use the shirt and balloons to decorate the room to set the mood for the day. I will use the requested cookies as a hands-on incentive to teach about circles. Students will use the cookies to find the area of the cookies in front of them. The clock display will be used as a contest between students to see who can find the area of the circle the quickest. I just know that these materials will students see what Pi Day is all about in a real hands-on, fun, and realistic fashion. Thank you!
