This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students at Bancroft Middle School are creative, thoughtful and passionate. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think critically. My students come to school each day ready to engage in new activities. They take bold chances in learning in order to grow both personally and academically.

Students at Bancroft are willing to accept tough rigorous curriculum and want to be challenged on a daily basis.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning about their bodies. Incorporating a variety of learning strategies, group work, partnerships and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met. Bancroft students are truly an incredible group and I am so lucky and thankful to have been a part of their academic career. It is a pleasure to watch them grow.

My Project

Students at Bancroft do not have the opportunity to play the game of football often. As you already know, football is a difficult, expensive and complex game. That’s why it can teach us so many important life lessons. In order to be successful at it you have to work hard, both on the practice field and especially during games. It’s not enough to merely work hard, though. You also need to play smart. I want my students to be able to know how to compete and be disciplined with training equipment. I want them to value hard work and I would love for them to know how to lead and follow. I want my students to be held accountable as well as pushing others to be their best.
