Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My STEM students are curious, creative, and eager to explore how technology works. After seeing the excitement and engagement from our first set of physical computing activities, I’m looking to expand these opportunities for all of my students with additional sensor kits, breadboards, resistors, and jumper wires.

These materials, used alongside our micro:bits, will allow students to design and build even more interactive and complex projects—from environmental sensors to responsive systems that react to the world around them.

With more components available, students will have greater flexibility to experiment, iterate, and bring their ideas to life through hands-on engineering and coding experiences.

This next phase of our project will deepen students’ understanding of circuits and programming while continuing to build critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. By increasing access to these tools, more students can actively participate, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning.

Your support will help ensure that every student has the opportunity to move beyond simply using technology and instead create, innovate, and explore. Together, we can continue inspiring the next generation of engineers and problem-solvers—one project at a time.
