This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are Michigan area students who come from lower to middle income families. Many students have limited access to normal household settings. Students have a close bond culture in which they interact both in and out of school.
Students thrive with project based learning.
Creating projects and hands on activities really help their critical thinking learning and logical thought process. STEM programs that support creation and the ability to engineer projects make learning fun and exciting. Students want to build, touch, and create.
Students love STEM projects and the chance to create something from their own mind. Students love a classroom where it is not just writing papers or doing math problems on a worksheet. Collaboration and working with partners helps develop them as people and learners.
My Project
The Sphero robots will help teach students how to create programs and code to interact with the physical world. Students will use project based learning and the STEM robots to learn critical thinking and trouble shooting skills.
These robots will help provide physical hands on learning that engages and interacts with students.
Students can create code to solve problems and challenges that require outside the box thinking. Students observe how computer programs can be used to make real world changes and improvements.
These robots help prepare students for careers in computer science, engineering, automation technician, and network systems integration. These robots will create a computer science foundation that students can build upon after high school.
