My students need to learn about motion in a way that is visual and interactive. Motion sensors allow our kids this opportunity.

My Students
Our students are awesome, hard-working kids who are doing STEM out-of-the-box projects and experiments that need some added tools that we just can't get on our school budget.
Our students will be doing problem-based learning, which means we will not follow the traditional science class format from days of old.
Our students will be asked to think outside of the box and make and produce products during the course of this term.
We are super excited to be able to offer a course that is fun and gives students a edge in math skills like no other. Our students learn a lot and leave freshman physics with a experience they wont soon forget
My Project
Our project is to purchase 4 additional GO- Motion Units. Each unit is a motion sensor that can graph the movements of a person or object moving in front of it.
This technology is highly effective at explaining physics principals of linear motion.
Its so much easier to show someone rather than tell someone how motion works, and this device allows us to do this. The kids can then graph their results using Vernier software and then print and or e-mail the data to their home accounts. It is a highly effective tool. We are requesting just four more so that we can spread our 38+ classroom sizes into smaller groups, so everyone can experience GO-Motion technology.
