My Students

Millikan is a school not quite like any other. We offer many interesting and engaging learning opportunities that bring students to us, not just from our local area, but from all over Los Angeles. My students are eager learners and leaders within the school community working diligently to bridge students together through photography. This project will provide the tools needed for my students to do their job; it will provide quality cameras that will be used to record the history of their middle school experience for the yearbook, school display cases, student published school newspaper, and school website. It is important to remember that although the number of students indicated that this project will help is only the doers, all students benefit from the memories these students help to document through photography!

This class of highly self-motivated students would benefit from making better quality technology available to them!

My Project

Help me give my students the tools they need cameras and memory to help make memories for the whole school!

My students step into the classroom ready to learn and work hard, inspiring me each day!

I am amazed by their creativity and work ethic and truly in awe that each project they create is better than their last! They have a desire to make a difference in our community by helping to motivate students to participate in STEM activities such as PiDay, Matheletes, and the Science Fair with the articles they write, the yearbook they create, and now the news program and documentaries they wish to make to work with helping students to understand our ever-changing community. The accessibility to updated technology, the new Canon cameras will be used to document the amazing things that take place on campus each day and photograph and/or video documentaries that can be shared in real time through our website and saved as memories in our yearbook. These new tools will motivate students to set new and higher goals.
