I believe students must be involved in their learning, in English reading is critical. Reading opens virtual windows, with words students envision things that may never have existed. What is seen in the minds eye is invaluable. My students are invaluable, a true inspiration. I watch them come to class prepared to try their best regardless of the home they come from, while some come from the very best homes, others come to us from a variety of circumstances and diverse backgrounds. Students come in at all stages of preparedness as well, they are resilient, nothing holds them back. They arrive with smiles ready to learn, ready to try! As they walk through this door I hope they will never look at themselves and say, "I can't." I believe my students can be anything they want to be. With help from them, the community, and desire every day to make all the best out of it, I believe my students can be all they dream.
