How will the specific items you’re requesting make a difference in their learning?

The phonics letter tiles will have a transformative impact on our students' literacy development.

These tactile and manipulative resources provide a hands-on approach to phonics instruction, allowing students to actively engage with letter-sound relationships and build words phonetically. Using letter tiles to construct and manipulate words, students can reinforce their understanding of phonemic awareness, decoding skills, and spelling patterns in a multisensory manner. This approach not only enhances their phonics skills but also fosters a deeper comprehension of language structure, ultimately leading to improved reading and writing proficiency.

What are your goals for this project?

My goal for this project is to strengthen our students' foundational literacy skills through systematic phonics instruction. By incorporating phonics letter tiles into our curriculum, we aim to provide targeted support for students who may struggle with decoding and encoding words. Through explicit phonics lessons and hands-on activities with letter tiles, we seek to empower our students to become confident and proficient readers and writers. Additionally, we aim to cultivate a positive attitude towards literacy by making learning engaging, interactive, and enjoyable for all students, regardless of their skill level or background.

Our students possess a diverse range of strengths, talents, and experiences that contribute to their uniqueness. What sets them apart is their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, particularly when presented with hands-on and interactive opportunities like using phonics letter tiles. Despite facing various challenges, our students demonstrate remarkable resilience and determination in their academic pursuits. Moreover, their compassion, empathy, and willingness to support one another create a warm and inclusive learning environment where everyone feels valued and respected. It is this sense of community and shared commitment to learning that truly makes our students special.
