This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to help bridge the gap, that continues to impact students, caused by COVID in a fun and engaging way. Covid has caused a gap of knowledge in so many children, especially my students. There is a gap between what they know and what they should know.

We have noticed students struggling the most with reading (phonics).

Through this grant I would like to receive educational games, to incorporate new researched based approaches to teach phonics, helping my students to catch up to where they should be. I would also like to freshen up my phonics games, math manipulatives, and have STEM activities available for my students to practice skills.
