My students need engaging activities to practice reading skills. The read and roll phonics games are sure to keep them working! They will be building words with magnetic letters, and learning letter sounds with word sliders.
My students are interesting individuals. They come from all walks of life with a variety of experiences. When they come together as a class, they bring their own unique perspectives and outlooks. Sharing who we are as human beings makes all our lives better.
We believe in building a positive relationship with each of our students.
One way we do this is to meet in small groups each day to work with students who need help with their reading skills. In grades four and five our students practice their reading fluency independently and then meet with a teacher to chart their progress. Our goal is to meet the needs of all our students.
At all grade levels, we work hard to engage our students in their learning! We celebrate learning at each student's pace, and focus on individual growth while creating a community of caring learners.
My students enjoy engaging activities. Each day I bring my best enthusiastic self to school, but sometimes we need more! Teaching children how to read and write can be tricky, especially if the activities are difficult for children. Having a variety of fun and interesting activities goes a long way in getting students to participate. I want to "light a fire" in my students!
Learning should be fun!
Children work hard when they are having fun. I see it on the playground at recess every day. The resources I have requested, such as Roll and Read Phonics, and phonics folder games will help me provide some excitement to our daily work. The “Can Do”vowel sounds activities, along with the magnetic letters will enable us to build words. Being able to build and blend words is an important skill when learning to read! Thanks for your support!
