We have such a diverse group of kids at my school. They are from all different backgrounds and from different socioeconomic levels. We have gifted kids and kids with special needs.
I work directly with students in many grades who struggle with reading and math and who need some extra help to get caught up.
I work all day with small groups of kids on reading and math skills. Many of my students are English Language Learners. They all have something in common. They all love to learn. They also love reading new books and experiencing new things.
My Project
The students I work with need some extra help with reading skills. When they come to me during the day we reinforce and practice the phonics skills they are learning.
The fun items in this project will by used by my students to strengthen their phonics skills.
The phonics dice will be used for games and practice. The decoding flashcards will align with our phonics scope and sequence. The word cards and activity builders will give my students the chance to practice their newly acquired skills in a fun and multi-sensory way. These materials will be a great asset to our classroom.
