Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is for a one-year digital membership to the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness kindergarten curriculum and some prizes to restock our prize box. My students can earn school gram when meeting academic or behavior goals and then they can exchange them for prizes. We used Heggerty videos last year, and unfortunately, our membership expired last month. My students have gained so much from this curriculum already and I would like to continue having access to the daily instructional videos.

My students are learning to read and write in two languages as part of our Dual Language program at our district and this curriculum comes in Spanish and English.

Students start their path to Biliteracy in my classroom and continue to 12th grade with the opportunity to gain a seal of Biliteracy in their high school diploma. This project will support all of my students gaining skills such as blending, segmenting, rhyming, and much more that will give them strong foundational skills in Spanish and English. There are very few curriculums available that are high quality, engaging, and at grade level, Heggerty is one of them. Your support will continue to provide access to this kindergarten curriculum. The fidgets and other prizes will motive students to do their best.
