This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an advocate for children's literacy, I am reaching out to share an exciting opportunity to impact young learners' lives profoundly.

At our school, we are dedicated to fostering a love for reading and empowering children with the foundational skills they need to thrive academically.

One crucial skill we focus on is phonemic awareness, the ability to identify and manipulate individual sounds in spoken words.

Research consistently demonstrates that phonemic awareness strongly predicts a child's future reading success. We can lay a solid foundation for lifelong literacy achievement by supporting phonemic awareness development early on.

Our initiative aims to provide phonemic awareness sets to classrooms and community centers serving children from underserved backgrounds. These sets include engaging activities, games, and resources designed to make learning phonemic awareness fun and accessible for young learners.

Your generosity can directly contribute to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to develop essential literacy skills and reach their full potential. A donation will enable us to expand our reach and impact, reaching more children who need support in developing phonemic awareness skills.
