My Students

From deep down in the rural part of Roosevelt, Utah, our students are excited to explore the world of learning in their academic surroundings. The students we work with come from a Title I school where about 60% of the students qualify for reduced-price or free lunch. With that stated, we are fortunate to have a school that has classrooms filled with the most unique and wonderful students. They come equipped with magnificent minds, determination to learn, and the ability to think deeply.

We have wonderful students with wonderful minds!

To ensure their success, our school has become a place of safety, academic challenge and discovery. Students spend their year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need to continue to grow and have success in the grades to come. They push themselves to the capacity in academic skills, life skills, and critical thinking.

Our students take pride in what they are learning and challenge their individual minds to continue to grow inside and outside of their school walls.

My Project

My fourth grade classroom is filled with the most unique and wonderful students. My students come equipped with magnificent minds, determination to learn, and the ability to think deeper. To ensure their success, my fourth grade classroom has become a place of challenge, discovery, and comfort. Students spend their year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need to continue to grow and have success in advanced grades to come. Unfortunately, the reading skills are low. I would like to show my students reading is the start of their education. With the best manipulative and reading training in class I believe we can make a difference.

These materials will provide optimal success straight from the start, by ensuring that my students have the resources and hands-on manipulatives to aid in their reading practices.

These materials will play an enormous aid in their success of becoming optimal readers. These materials will allow my students to have comfort, structured, positive collaboration results, and will bring in community-style learning. Help me provide resources that will be beneficial to their reading practices inside the classroom. These materials will help provide appropriate structure, resources to aid in word recognition and comprehension practices, and hands-on manipulatives for all my students. With class sizes increasing and reading skills more in demand, I do not have enough options for all my students and would love to be prepared for the future to come.
