We, the students of The Phoenix School of Discovery would like to request your assistance in making a project for our engineering club. We Phoenix students are a group of people who think outside the box and are over the top with our work. We are a alternative thinking school with constant hands on projects and assignments. Our students crave exciting and fun ways of learning, therefore we would like to ask for your assistance. We are in the process of planning, modeling and creating a catapult. We would love and appreciate your help in our education and futures by donating to our program. We have a collection of talented and hardworking students who would use your donation to make a wonderful catapult for our school. It would be a fun and educational project that could get our students into the world of creation and thinking.

The Phoenix School of Discovery
This project will build mathematical and engineering skills. They will design, build, and test a scale model of a medieval catapult. Through this project they will be able to experience the design process as well as learn history, physics, and mathematics. This is a trial run for a project that we intend to expand to the entire school in the following years.

I want the chance to help develop my skills in working with a group. I need to become better at being a leader and not a boss, I tend to try to take over and do everything my way, and I want to get better at listening to my peers. - E. Wardley
This project is really helpful for us. A lot of us struggle with standard school stiles, and the opportunity to work hands on is hugely helpful for us. - E Wardley
I want to develop skills that I will be able to use the rest of my life, and being able to build stuff is really useful. - S. Firmin
