My Project

Our school has a fledgling performing arts club, PES Playhouse, which is voluntarily directed by two 4th grade teachers, one of which is me. Our performers range from 3rd-6th grade and include a student with special needs. With the aid of our PTA and parents, in 2023, we presented a spring musical program and a fall Veterans' Day musical tribute. This year we want to expand our club's abilities by implementing a musical play with actual background sets and props. Thus, giving our performers, a growing knowledge of drama as wells as giving them an opportunity to increase their creative passions and self-confidence.

This DonorsChoose project request is for funds to buy Backdrop Stands and materials like paint, tarps, tape, brushes for creating our upcoming spring and future plays' sets.

Already we've had help from our school and the PTA to fund the costumes and the script with performance rights.
