My Project

Summary:

This project is tailored to support my professional development as an educator by enrolling me in a specialized course at the University of San Diego.

Specifically, the project aims to fund my participation in the 4.5-unit course titled "The Reading Process," which will be conducted online over three months. This course will enhance my teaching abilities, particularly in reading instruction, enabling me to better serve my students in primary education.

Project Description:

As an educator dedicated to providing the best learning experiences for my students, I recognize the importance of continuous professional growth. The "Reading Process" course offered by the University of San Diego Extension aligns perfectly with my goal of deepening my understanding of effective reading instruction strategies.

Over three months, I will engage in online learning sessions facilitated by expert instructors from the University of San Diego. Through interactive discussions, assignments, and practical activities, I will gain valuable insights and proper techniques to enhance my teaching of reading comprehension, phonics, and literacy skills.

Funds raised through this project will directly cover the tuition fees for course enrollment.

By investing in my professional development, this project will directly and positively impact the quality of education I provide to my students. And most importantly, it is part of my requirements to obtain my credentials as a teacher in California and to be able to continue teaching here.
