My third graders are each unique individuals, as they should be! With 24 different personalities, I try to find opportunities to incorporate their identities into the classroom.
I try to personalize as much as I can in the classroom to make each student feel welcome and a part of the classroom community.
The students love walking into the classroom and seeing things that have their name on it, and also things that pertain to their individual interests.
Throughout the year, students’ interests change, and the classroom decor reflects those changes of interest.
My Project
When asked what kinds of things they would like to see in the school store, students always say, "personalized items" or, "items with our school logo." With access to a Cricut machine and vinyl, the staff and students will be able to work collaboratively on providing such items.
By using the Cricut machine, students will be able to show their creativity in ways they may not have imagined possible.
Students will be able to wear our school logo proudly, knowing that they had a part in designing their attire. Furthermore, many of the students do not currently have personalized items as some of their names are not common. With access to the cricut machine, students will now have the opportunity to have things customized.
