Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are change-makers! They are driven, passionate dreamers. Our school has a focus on equity, community involvement, and creating future world leaders. I want to ensure my students have access to the tools they will need to activate their learning and engagement. These students deserve resources, and I hope you all will be able to join me in supporting them on their learning journey.
Many students at my school have difficulty in having the tools needed to complete tasks designed for their learning.
These needs are even more pressing due to the current global pandemic. They are truly an incredible and impactful group, and I am thankful to have a new group of scholars who are excited and ready to learn this year!
My Project
The past two years have been unprecedented in many ways, and our students need additional support to ensure they are successful in every possible way inside the classroom and beyond. Many students are requesting snacks throughout the day or needing additional breaks due to the draining nature of online learning, quickly adapting to the constant changes or other issues related to the current pandemic. I want to make sure they have all of the supplies they need to focus on their education. Additionally, it is critical we take the safety and well-being of our students seriously. Our school is developing a toiletries and necessities pantry in which students will be able to access day-to-day necessities. Your donation will go towards this pantry to support each and every student on our campus. In addition to this pantry, this project will also ensure students will have individual copies of texts to support their love of reading!
