My Students

My Charter School focuses on Greek Language. I teach Greek Language in 5th grade and Greek Art in 6th grade.

While my students come from different socioeconomic backgrounds, they all share enthusiasm for learning and resilience on the face of adversity.

They are a lively bunch of 10 and 11 year old boys and girls in 5th and 6th grades.

This year the school year has been different for all of us. My school started virtually. However, we are exploring all possibilities for returning to school in hybrid mode. I would like to be able to provide personal protection for my students inn the form of desk shields.

My Project

The desk shields will minimize the chances of students contracting, spreading or carrying home the Covid virus to their families and vice versa to the classroom. Virtual teaching cannot replace the importance of human interaction.

These desk shields will make families feel more conformable to send their students back to school safely.

A teacher is the most important factor in a child's learning and cannot be replaced by technology no matter how advanced the second is...

Please make it possible for the student and teacher to be in the same room with these desk shields.
