My Project

Thank you for visiting this classroom project. I am working on adding equipment to my percussion section so that we can utilize some of the older percussion that is stashed in cabinets and be more efficient in rehearsals.

There are a number of items in this project that will help my students for many, many years.

First, the snare stand will be for our 2nd snare. This will allow my students to play chamber music with more than 1 snare or when a concert piece calls for a snare and field drum. Currently, we are using a chair, and that is not appropriate for the instrument. Second, the cymbal stand will allow us to have different sized cymbals set up. Or allow us to place cymbals in different percussion pods for ease of playing parts. The last items are trap stands that mount to stands. The different parts call for small instruments and/or mallet changes. Having trap stands will allow my students to keep their playing pod organized and allow for quick changes of instruments.
