This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The school I teach at is a Title I funded school, and the majority of our families are considered low income. These supplies will take the burden of purchasing new supplies off of the families and make it so all students have the same supplies to use each day. These pencil materials will help my students be successful at completing tasks and learning at school. Please help give my students something to write with! We need pencils, please!
Students use pencils at school non-stop, and we need more pencils for the end of the school year.
We will be working in our outdoor classroom. Students often lose pencils or finish them with all the writing we do at school.
I, as a teacher, always provide a tub full of pencils so students can feel comfortable getting a pencil anytime in case they forget, lose, or finish their own. Please help give my students this very essential school supply.
