Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We are busy building our writing skills. We are using up pencils and journals very quickly. We use our journal writing and creations to make anchor charts (Posters) to support our writing and learning.

We feel accomplished when we write in our in our journals and our writing becomes posters in our classroom.

The print concepts are strengthened, and the students are encouraged to write and create when the anchor charts are created for the student by the students. The ownership of learning is acknowledged and appreciated by the students. The pride is evident when the students are able to tell a visitor or parent or the principal they learned using their own work.
