Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love learning and work hard at it. Unfortunately, often times I do not have materials that would best suit my students' needs. They are a very active bunch and learn best when able to interact with the material kinesthetically.
Recently, we got a new classroom set of chairs.
My students love this new option for seating! For some of my students, it helps them be more comfortable, thus enabling them to concentrate more.
I'm trying to bring my classroom into the 21st century and keep it student centered! With pencil sharpeners my students can actually write with their pencils. We have not had a pencil sharpener almost all school year, and this is a vital thing to have. With staplers we can staple their papers together. We can also hang the students' work on the walls to display. The electronic stapler would help me staple packets together much quicker than having to hand staple them!
My Project
A pencil sharpener is a pretty basic item. But when you do not have one in your classroom, things get difficult. We've gone an entire year without a sharpener because they get worn out so quickly. I'm hoping to have the electric sharpeners for most of the year, but I also want to have an "old school" metal one!
We used to have a good stapler, but it got dropped and broken.
I really need a handheld stapler. I also really want a hands free stapler! I was privileged to use one during student teaching, and I loved it! With a hands free stapler, I can staple papers together much quicker!
