My Project

Help every math teachers have a supply of sharpened pencils for students to use. In our school 60% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch and having supplies such as pencils allows students barriers to be removed.

Even though our world is using more and more technology to teach and learn, math is a subject that still requires pencil and paper.

Math requires showing work, erasing and trying something else and showing your thinking and process. Pencils are used daily and the classroom goes smoothly with less disruptions when kids can just grab a pencil when they walk in the door and immediately engage in whatever we are doing.
