Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need basic supplies like pens, pencils, folders, and other various classroom tools to help them get through this semester. They also deserve an organized environment which will assist my students' love of literature and learning. My biggest struggle as a teacher is helping my students stay organized and come prepared with the supplies they need for each class. Because kids of all abilities can be forgetful, it helps to keep a stash of pens and pencils, and ALL other supplies for students to access when needed in the classroom, at all times. As we enter our 4th month of school, my pen, pencil, and folder supply is running low, and needs to be replenished. My scholars also require new organizational tools and other miscellaneous classroom supplies and tools.
The items I am requesting constitute basic classroom needs such as pens, pencils, and highlighters!
Supporting this project will give them access to the things they need without needing to limit the amount of the items they use due to shortages faced school-wide. Given our school budgets, we wouldn't be able to give kids all the supplies they need for success without projects like these.
We appreciate all the kindness you've shown our classroom and are excited to show you how we are going to make the most of all the wonderful gifts we've been given. These items will be used and appreciated throughout the entire school year.
