Pen a Colorful Essay

Help me give my students colored pens for writing and a magnetic lines paper for teacher modeling.

My Project

We are digging in to the new school year and writing is a top priority. Last year we began to make supply bags to hold all the writing tools that students need to be succeessful writers. Our school uses a RACES writing strategy as a foundation for all of our students. We color code each part of this strategy with specific colors so that the students get familiar with all the components.

We need to add more specific color pens to our supply bag and a magnetic lines paper tool for teacher modeling in our classroom.

We have found so much success with this color coding process that we want to continue. I have already found our that some kids cannot handle using the multi color pens because they are constantly clicking them causing disruptions in the room so I need to have individual color pens. Also, some of the clickable pens from last year are not working correctly so I need to replace some.

All of my students, especially students who are English Language Learners and Students with IEP's, benefit from this color coding system. Your help with this project is much appreciated.
