I am requesting tablets that can be used in my classroom. My students will be able to utilize this technology on a daily basis. Students will learn about current events around the world by reading online kid friendly articles at their reading level. This will help to my students to be informed United States citizens while improving their reading comprehension skills. One program that my students will use is titled, News-o-Matic. This program is designed with current events at individual grade levels. This will allow both my regular education and special education students to learn about world events while not being intimidating. My students will not only engage in current events reading but also be able to complete activities on their Google Classroom page with will help with their Ohio State Social Studies Assessments.
