Help me give my students hands-on experience with energy flow in an ecosystem with owl pellets and more.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Rose's classroom raised $232

My Project
I teach in a Title I school where most of the students have free or reduced-price lunches. These hardy 5th graders know struggles and work hard to overcome them. My classroom is a place to feel safe, cared for, and to learn. We pride ourselves on working hard and being kind to others.
Hands-on learning helps students understand core concepts.
This is why I try to acquire items that will be helpful learning activities. The owl pellets and booklets about the change of matter will help solidify learning about the way energy and matter move through an ecosystem.
Looking at the inside of owl pellets will let students look at what an owl has digested. This goes along with our goal of learning about ecosystems and the way that matter flows. The booklet will help students practice the skill of chemical changes in matter. Please, help me to give my students the tools to solidify their learning goals.
