My Students

Every child is unique in their own way with their own capabilities, talents, and strengths. At times, it takes some motivation to get them engaged in the activity. Once they are engaged, they strive for excellence.

The community we live in is supportive and will try to support the students in many ways; however, funding can be a roadblock at times.

Each of the students in my classroom are eager to learn new skills. It always amazes me to see how hard they work, even on the most difficult topics. They all love to be challenged! All of my students find ways to work together and learn from one another. It is amazing to see students taking charge of their learning and helping one another.

My Project

In the spring, my Kindergarten students will be doing a unit on chicks. Help me support their learning with an incubator that will allow them to see the process of how a chick is born.

For most of my students, this will be a life changing experience that some will not get to experience.

Hands on learning is beneficial to students and helps kids learn in so many ways and brings math, science and reading together. This type of experience can change the role of the teacher from information dispenser to co-explorer of knowledge.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
