This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an amazing mix of local and military kids from every imaginable socioeconomic group. This year, we are still struggling with the impact of COVID-19 and our students have reported feeling disconnected from the school and each other. Despite all this, they want to work together and support each other. I love to watch them learn to weigh facts and think for themselves.

If more people were like my students, the world would be a kinder, gentler place.

They truly care for each other and have found creative ways to do amazing things with limited resources. They give me hope for the future.

My Project

Part exercise bike, part standing desk with a desk surface! This is the dream setup for every restless student. Some students do better in class when sitting quietly, but others need some sort of physical activity or release to keep their thoughts focused.

Imagine being able to pedal away your excess energy while still doing the daily assignment.

Many studies have shown that invigorating the body focuses the mind. This exercise bike will be a perfect alternative seating for either an ADHD student or any student feeling a bit anxious or restless.
