My Students

Thanks for checking out my classroom donation page, welcome! My 16 enthusiastic students are diverse in the truest meaning of the word. My students come from all socioeconomic brackets, family structures and races. Our class is in Lakewood, CO and many students are struggling coming back to school after 18 months of remote or interrupted in person instruction. They are eager to learn and explore the world around them!

My Project

Students are really struggling to manage their emotions after being home for more than a year learning remotely. Expecting these young developing minds to deal with stress and uncertainty and then immediately regulate their minds and bodies to get through a full day of learning is not working!

Help me create a calming space for my students to use when they need it.

I call it the "peace corner!" Students should be able to regulate their emotions and have space and time to do it. I want my students to have a space filled with various tools to regulate their emotions that are fun, calming, and supportive activities throughout their day in our "peace corner." Help me to give them the tools to learn the physical and mindful skills of yoga and emotional regulation in the classroom.
